I beat Google
by Sean Smyth on Feb.28, 2009, under Cool Links, Random Stuff, Websites
I just googled myself (as you do) and a “seansmyth” gets my blog in the number 1 spot and “sean smyth” yields number 7.
If I google “sean smyth” and add any of the tags I’ve added to any of my posts over the years I get number one aswell.
Now all I have to do is wait until I’m famous, when people might actually google my name instead of just following a direct link.
Do you know what’s worse……

Do you know what’s worse than no internet at all? Really Really slow internet.
Well maybe that’s not completely true but it’s more than a little annoying.
(Imma gonna stick Eircom in the tags to get loadza traffic to my site. I r Clevur)
Fooking Internets
by Sean Smyth on Sep.08, 2008, under College, Random Stuff
This is more of a vent post, than an informative post. ( Since when have I ever done informative posts anyway? ). Anyway, I’ve moved into my new gaff for college and our landlord thought he’d be good and set up BroadBand for when we move in. He got shitty Ripwave from Irish BroadBand and it outright refuses to work.
We’ve had it set up for like a week now and not once have we gotten a signal even though we are well within the availablitly radius on the website.
It’s in the landlords name so we won’t be getting charged for it but I was supposed to put it in my name last Monday and just didn’t. So, I think we may have to pay a cancellation fee (for something that never freakin’ worked) and then we have to go about getting new internet which could take another few weeks. I think we will be going for Digiweb Metro. It seems to be the best deal at the moment considering we don’t have a phone line.
Sigh.
